After winning their fourth division title, the Dominican Royals1 are on their way to the second round of the Dominican Summer League playoffs, after sweeping the Rockies 2–0 in the first round.
Six different Royals1 hitters tallied multiple hits in the club’s 9–7 win in the first game of the series, including three-hit efforts from Edgar Martinez and Junior Calderon, who also had two RBI. On Tuesday, the club knocked off the Rockies 4–1 to advance to the second round.
