Brandon Moss was 26 years old in 2010, when the best thing that ever happened to him occurred.
He spent that season at Triple-A Indianapolis in the Pirates’ organization and hit a career-high 22 home runs with an International League leading 96 RBI, earning a September call-up to Pittsburgh.
It was a breakthrough season for Moss, who made his Major League debut with Boston in 2007, only to be shipped to Pittsburgh the following year in the three-team deal that sent Manny Ramirez to Los Angeles.
