Arizona Fall League Update: Viloria Continues to Shine

Meibrys Viloria was Surprise’s starting catcher in their 18–2 loss on Thursday vs. Mesa. He reached safely a team-high three times, including two walks and one of the Saguaros’ four hits. Through four games, the 21-year-old is batting .357/.526/.500 (5-for-14) with five walks.

Royals prospects Arnaldo Hernandez (0 R in 2.1 IP) and Grant Gavin (0 R in 2 IP) were the only Saguaros pitchers to record scoreless appearances. The two have combined for 11.0 scoreless innings in the Arizona Fall League, including 6.0 scoreless by Hernandez, tied for the second-most scoreless innings in the league.
