Royals prospect Scott Blewett improved to an Arizona Fall League-best 4–0 in Tuesday’s 10–1 win in Glendale. He allowed just one run on four hits in 4.0 innings and threw 34 of 51 pitches for strikes.
Blewett lowered his ERA in five starts to 2.21 (5 ER in 20.1 IP) and now ranks third in the league in innings pitched. His four wins account for nearly half of the victories by the Surprise Saguaros (9–14) through 23 games.
Including Wednesday’s matchup vs. Scottsdale, Surprise has seven games remaining on their fall league schedule.
