A new rumor gives a tickle that there is a possibility for the KC Royals to build a brand new downtown stadium if they desire.
This certainly is not the first time the KC Royals have been associated with a move from their home since 1973 to a more glitzy, redone downtown area. With the T-Mobile Center a staple near the Power & Light District since 2007, much of the area has been upgraded and is a hub for entertainment and dining.
What has sparked the latest whispers is a report that the Kansas City Star will abandon its home, a two-block glass mammoth building that faces the T-Mobile Center across I-670.
