The United States Navy’s world-famous aerial acrobatic team the Blue Angels is in Kansas City over the Fourth of July weekend to appear at the Kansas City Air Show at the downtown airport.
When they appear at such events, the Angels always take local celebrities on what are known as “check rides” in the F/A-18fighter jets they fly. It’s a great way to promote the local air show, the Blue Angels and the Navy itself.
On Friday, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Demarcus Robinson had the opportunity to take one of these check rides — and it’s therefore our patriotic duty to share photos and videos from his experience.
