Tight End Day magic is real for Travis Kelce (even when the odds say it’s not

Every year since 2018, the NFL has celebrated the rise in talent at the tight end position with “National Tight End Day,” which is observed every season on the fourth Sunday in October. These Sundays typically bleed into Monday Night Football, which is great considering one of the greatest (if not the greatest) tight ends in the game plays at home on Monday night against the Washington Commanders: Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

Kelce and his two tight end cohorts, George Kittle and Greg Olsen, have seemingly become the face of the annual holiday, largely in part due to their founding of Tight End University (TEU), which takes place around the end of June.
