The Kansas City Chiefs will once again be hunting for immediate upgrades at the NFL trade deadline, as the lack of a truly dominant running game and the need for more defensive tackle reinforcements might take some of the sting out of this team's push for yet another Super Bowl birth.
Rather than just mortgaging future draft picks, the Chiefs might be wise to pursue a player-for-player swap. Why can't the Chiefs trade someone who is not going to be in their future plans for an expiring contract that can provide them with a tangible and immediate upgrade at a position of need?
