While the Kansas City Chiefs have had a somewhat spotty history with certain positions, including quarterback until recently, a position at which they have a long lineage of great players is running back.
Throughout the years, many Chiefs teams were carried by their running backs. In fact, there are stretches throughout the franchise’s history in which the team’s running back was arguably the only reason people watched. That is in part an indication of how poor the franchise had fared for several years, but also largely due to the fact that the running back in question was so spectacular.
