Patrick Mahomes named offensive MVP in his first Pro Bowl appearance

The 2019 Pro Bowl represents one of the final major moments in a dream season to remember for Patrick Mahomes.

Last year at this time, the Kansas City Chiefs were clearing the depth chart via a trade of Alex Smith to the Washington Redskins to officially pass the starting quarterback’s torch to Mahomes, allowing him a drama-free offseason to learn and lean into the role. Ever since that moment, Mahomes has taken to the position like few in NFL history with an MVPesque season and first Pro Bowl nod among numerous other accolades.

On Sunday, he joined four other Chiefs teammates in Orlando, Florida at the NFL’s version of an all-star exhibition.
