Patrick Mahomes deserves better than this.
Starting out yet another season without his top two wide receivers has, once again, muted the production of Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs' offense. With Rashee Rice suspended and Xavier Worthy injured, the Chiefs are starved for playmakers, and Mahomes' numbers look rather pedestrian despite being the best quarterback in the NFL today.
Previous seasons have shown what Mahomes can do when given proper tools, but the years following the trade of Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins haven't been kind to the Chiefs' offense. Attempts to replace Hill haven't worked and injuries have claimed anyone else who could be effective.
