The Kansas City Chiefs have played the majority of this season without 40% of their starting line, as starting left guard has been sidelined with an ankle injury, and starting left tackle Eric Fisher is nursing a sore groin.
The replacements for those injuries have been…interesting. The left guard position has been a bit of a revolving door, unfortunately, with Martinas Rankin most recently manning that hole. Meanwhile, the left tackle position has been the exact opposite of a revolving door, but that decision is also unfortunate, as Cam Erving has been nothing short of a nightmare.
This reality has left Chiefs fans desperate to find quality offensive lineman to fill the holes (temporarily) and provide excellent depth for the team as they pursue the franchise’s first Super Bowl championship in half a century.
