Monday injury report: Four Chiefs leave practice early

Four Kansas City Chiefs — highlighted by cornerback Keith Reaser, who the team believes might have torn his Achilles — left practice early in St. Joseph on Monday morning. Wide receiver Gehrig Dieter had some back spasms, running back Marcus Marshall strained his groin and offensive lineman Mitch Schwartz felt his back lock up on him.

Our in-house injury expert, Aaron Borgmann, speculated that Reaser may have been impacted by participating in the now-defunct Alliance of American Football. Borgmann noted that former AAF players now in the NFL had no offseason in which to recover, train and prepare for the rigors of the NFL.
