The Kansas City Chiefs recently concluded their three-day rookie minicamp, giving their newest additions a glimpse of what it will be like to practice at the NFL level. Among them was Kansas State wide receiver Phillip Brooks, a local kid hailing from Lee’s Summit, Missouri, who signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent.
For Brooks, the opportunity to play for his childhood team is nothing short of a dream come true.
“I’m from Kansas City — Lee’s Summit, Missouri,” Brooks told reporters on Monday. “I grew up a Chiefs fan, and my family is a Chiefs fan, so this is a dream come true for me.
