De’Vante Bausby is back in a familiar place with the Kansas City Chiefs. The cornerback has re-signed with the team after being released by the Chicago Bears earlier this week.
It’s also a homecoming for Bausby because he was born in Kansas City. The Pittsburg State product originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Chiefs after impressing John Dorsey in the lead up to the 2015 NFL Draft. Bausby broke his collarbone and then was released that summer.
The Chicago Bears picked him up a few months later and played a bit of roster roulette with Bausby for the next 18 months, moving him between the active roster and practice squad and releasing him before rinsing and repeating.
