Kansas City Chiefs give Daniel Sorensen new 4-year extension

The rumors said John Dorsey was working on a brand new extension for Daniel Sorensen. The reality followed soon after, showing that Dorsey was hard at work to keep the Chiefs promising safety from hitting free agency anytime soon. The new four-year deal was reported by Mike Garafolo.

Sorensen was a very valuable safety for the Chiefs last season, not only providing a valuable special teams play but showing himself to be an impact player as the Chiefs sub in dime packages. The team often plays with several defensive backs in the field, more often than not, which means Sorensen is actually more valuable than a second inside linebacker.
