Kansas City Chiefs cut former Packers 2nd round pick Jerel Worthy

The Jerel Worthy era is over in Kansas City. The Chiefs announced they have cut Worthy, who is a defensive tackle signed to the team last year.

Worthy was on the roster bubble anyway so this likely doesn't affect much. He was a second round pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2012 NFL Draft. Chiefs GM John Dorsey used his Packer connections and signed Worthy at the start of the season last year. He spent the season on the practice squad (except for one week when the Chiefs cut him and then re-signed him).
