The Houston Texans have decided to officially part ways with offensive lineman Jeff Allen just two years into a four-year contract agreement signed back in 2016.
The news announced on Friday makes Allen a free agent after both sides reached an injury settlement. Allen was placed on Houston’s reserve/physically unable to perform list back in May due to a concussion sustained late in the 2017 regular season.
Allen still was not set to count against the active roster limits given his PUP placement, but the Texans clearly feel ready to move on.
