Good things often await teams that beat an opponent twice on the road

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Perhaps it started with a long-ago football coach wary of having to face a particular opponent for the second time in a given season, or maybe there’s some truth to the old adage about the difficulty of having to beat a team twice in one year.

Either way, that’s the task faced by the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday when they play their wild-card playoff game against the Texans in Houston. The Chiefs beat the Texans 27-20 to begin the regular season in September, and this time Kansas City won’t have the advantage of playing one of the games in the raucous environment of Arrowhead Stadium.
