Former wide receiver Dwayne Bowe signs one-day contract to retire a Chief

One-day-contract season in Kansas City continued Thursday, with the Chiefs signing former wide receiver Dwayne Bowe. Bowe has now retired as a Chief after spending his final season as a member of the Cleveland Browns.

Bowe, 34, was selected by the Chiefs with the 23rd overall pick back in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He spent eight years with the club before the Chiefs released him in March of 2015.

Bowe compiled 7,155 yards in Kansas City—good for third all-time in the history of the Chiefs franchise.
