Former Kansas City Chiefs take on new coaching jobs with Dolphins and Rutgers

A couple of former members of the Kansas City Chiefs organization recently found new coaching roles this week at the collegiate and professional levels.

Former Chiefs running back Kolby Smith was just announced as the new running backs coach for Rutgers University, while former Chiefs coach Chad O’Shea landed his first coordinator role in the National Football League after being named the Miami Dolphins new offensive coordinator.

Smith entered the NFL as the fifth round choice of the Chiefs in the 2007 NFL Draft out of the University of Louisville. He spent three years in Kansas City and finished his pro career with 162 rushes for 540 yards and 3 touchdowns.
