Former Chiefs scout named Senior Bowl’s new executive director

Former Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage has directed the efforts of the Reese’s Senior Bowl for the last six years, but a change was announced on Tuesday that will put the pre-draft exhibition under new leadership. Jim Nagy has been announced as the new executive director for the Senior Bowl after working in the NFL for nearly 20 years.

Nagy might be a familiar name for those fans paying attention to the front office and personnel back in Scott Pioli’s era. Nagy earned important experience with the New England Patriots for seven seasons as a scout, and when Pioli was hired away by Clark Hunt to replace Carl Peterson as the Kansas City Chiefs general manager in 2009, Nagy quickly followed along with fellow Pats scout Marvin Allen.
