Some political news is coming out of Chiefs Kingdom this week with news that former Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Dave Lindstrom has announced his intention to run for the United States Senate as a representative of Kansas.
Lindstrom was originally drafted out of Boston University by the San Diego Chargers, but he spent his entire on-field career with the Chiefs. He was a sixth round pick for the Chargers in 1977 but came over to the Chiefs the following year for his first snaps on the field and stayed on as a rotational fixture at defensive end for the next 118 games.
