It’s never fun to realize your time is up when you are doing something you love, but apparently that is the reality for Ben Grubbs. The 32-year-old is expected to announce his retirement from the National Football League soon, according to Pro Football Talk.

Grubbs was acquired by the Kansas City Chiefs back in the 2015 offseason for a fifth-round draft pick from the New Orleans Saints, and immediately signed a four-year, $24 million extension. However, Grubbs sustained a neck injury and had to be placed on injured reserve last season after playing in seven games.
