Some observations on playing time (in snaps) for the Kansas City Chiefs in Friday night's 27-17 preseason loss to the San Francisco 49ers:
Quarterback: Patrick Mahomes II 20, Tyler Bray 14, Joel Stave 10, Alex Smith 8. Playing time for Smith should increase next week against the Cincinnati Bengals and even more in the subsequent game against the Seattle Seahawks before dropping to nothing in the final preseason outing against the Tennessee Titans. Meanwhile, Mahomes may have hit his high-water mark until the Titans game, when he should be the featured QB.
