Denver Broncos restructure Donald Stephenson’s contract

The Kansas City Chiefs coaching staff will be happy to know that offensive tackle Donald Stephenson, who played for the Chiefs from 2012 to 2015, will be playing for the Denver Broncos for another year in 2017. The team restructured his deal to lower his guaranteed salary from $4 million to $2 million with a chance to earn the other $2 million in incentives, per the Denver Post.

The Chiefs swept the Broncos last season, in large part due to their ability to get after the quarterback due to poor offensive line play. The Broncos still seem to be having a difficult time putting a new line together, especially if Stephenson is expected to start at right or left tackle.
