Friday night in Brazil didn't go the way the Kansas City Chiefs and their fans had hoped. Losing only the second season-opening game of Patrick Mahomes' career was painful enough, but losing Xavier Worthy might have been even more painful.
It feels like the football gods are just mocking the Chiefs at this point when it comes to wide receivers. Worthy, primed to be the top receiver in the absence of Rashee Rice, was promptly hurt just three plays into the game. We don't yet know the severity of the injury, but it doesn't seem good.
