Chiefs work out veteran cornerback

On Monday, general manager John Dorsey brought Phillip Adams in for a workout alongside defensive end Da’Quan Bowers. While Bowers has been a bust since coming into the NFL as a second-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Adams never had that hype. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers.

Adams has bounced around to say the least, playing in 2010 with the 49ers before spending 2011 with the New England Patriots. In 2012, Adams began a two-year stint with the Oakland Raiders and then played in 2014 with the New York Jets, and 2015 with the Atlanta Falcons.
