The Chiefs are finalizing trade of cornerback Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams, ESPN reported Friday.
Peters, 25, is coming off a sometimes-tumultuous season in which he recorded 46 tackles, five interceptions and nine passes defensed, but also drew attention for his on-field behavior and decision to protest during the national anthem.
The two-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro selection was suspended by coach Andy Reid for a game against in Oakland in December because of his behavior in a 38-31 loss to the New York Jets.
Late in the fourth quarter of the Chiefs’ loss to the Jets, the Chiefs appeared to stop a two-point conversion that would have kept the Chiefs down just five points.
