Chiefs rumors: Orson Charles signs back to practice squad

The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly signed tight end/fullback Orson Charles back to the team’s practice squad on Wednesday in an under-the-radar move that keeps the versatile prospect close in case something happens on the active roster at multiple positions.

The Chiefs released Orson Charles on October 5, but apparently have been keeping close tabs on him. Now that the opportunity has opened to add him again, Charles brings a unique skill set and diversity that should allow him to make the roster if something were to happen to, say, Anthony Sherman, the team’s starting fullback, or Ross Travis, a back-up tight end.
