Chiefs defensive back Justin Cox, a rookie free agent from Mississippi State, was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated domestic violence, burglary of a residence and trespassing.
The alleged incident occurred at an apartment complex in Starkville, Miss.
This was Cox’s second arrest involving domestic violence in less than a year.
On Jan. 6, Cox appeared in Oktibbeha County (Miss.) Justice Court, where he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of trespassing and was fined $600. The domestic-violence charge was dismissed at the victim’s request.
Cox played free safety at Mississippi State last season and missed the final three games, including the Orange Bowl, on suspension after the first arrest.
