The Kansas City Chiefs just aren't the same team that they've been in recent years. With a 5-5 record during the 2025 NFL season, they're firmly out of the playoff picture and in desperate need of an offensive jolt.
That could have come at the trade deadline in the form of an acquisiton, but general manager Brett Veach sat on his hands. The Chiefs were in the running for New York Jets running back Breece Hall, but Kansas City didn't want to pony up a third-rounder for his talents.
Hall is in the final year of his rookie deal in New York, and based on how things have gone between him and the franchise in recent years, it is likely he'll test free agency next spring.
