When Chiefs general manager John Dorsey was asked if anything surprised him about the NFL draft’s first round Thursday, he said there was one player he didn’t think would drop to the second round.
“Yeah — Myles Jack is still on the board,” Dorsey said, “and he is a good football player. I am sure he will go early tomorrow.
“There are more things lingering than people realize … it is not for his play on the field because he is a wonderful player on the field. Let’s make no mistake.”
Jack was widely projected to be a top-10 pick, but teams may have been concerned about his potentially degenerative knee condition.
