Chiefs ‘in contact’ with Liberty University linebacker prospect

According to a report from The Draft Network, the Kansas City Chiefs have been in contact with Liberty University linebacker Anthony Butler. Other NFL teams have also shown interest.

After playing in 36 games (including 16 starts) for Conference USA’s Charlotte 49ers, the 6-foot-1, 230-pound prospect transferred to Liberty for his senior season, where he started 10 of 11 games — missing one game with an injury — while collecting 67 tackles (32 solo, four for loss), a sack, two interceptions and four passes defensed for the Flames during their second season as an FBS school.
