Chiefs had two key injuries during 40-32 loss to Raiders

Not only did the Kansas City Chiefs lose their Week 5 game against the Las Vegas Raiders by a score of 40-32, they also had injuries to two key offensive players: left guard Kelechi Osemele and wide receiver Sammy Watkins.

“As far as the injuries go, Kelechi tore two of his tendons in his knee — both knees,” said Chiefs head coach Andy Reid after the game. “Sammy hurt his hamstring, and we’ll just see how that goes here in the next couple days.”

Neither of the injuries were the result of contact — and both happened when quarterback Patrick Mahomes was trying to make a play of at least 20 yards to make a first down.
