Chiefs fans eye history as Patrick Mahomes nears two NFL records

Patrick Mahomes has accomplished more than most NFL quarterbacks could dream of during his eight-year NFL career. As he enters his ninth year as the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback (eighth as a starter), he has a chance to add to his résumé.

According to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk, Mahomes can break two passing touchdown records on Friday night against the Los Angeles Chargers, who the Chiefs open the season against in Brazil. Smith wrote that, "Mahomes has 291 touchdown passes in his NFL career (245 in the regular season and 46 in the postseason), and can break the records both for the most in his first nine NFL seasons and for the most before turning 30 years old.
