The Kansas City Chiefs had plenty of roster battles taking place this summer during training camp and preseason but tight end wasn't one of them. The consensus was that the three tight ends included on the roster would be Travis Kelce, Noah Gray, and former fourth-round pick Jared Wiley.
While that's still likely going to be the case, journeyman Robert Tonyan has put together a preseason campaign that's impossible to ignore and could ultimately push him onto the 53-man roster. In the first two preseason games, Tonyan tallied eight receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown, proving that he can be a nice depth piece on offense.
