Monday, March 7, officially kicked off National School Breakfast Week, and the Chiefs Community Caring Team partnered with the Play 60 youth outreach staff and the Midwest Dairy Association to inspire youth to start their day with proper essential nutrition by raising school breakfast awareness and promoting alternative breakfast options offered by school districts nationwide.
The Chiefs Community Caring team visited students at Silver City Elementary for a special “Fuel Up to Play 60” school assembly. The assembly promoted good eating habits, healthy lifestyles and active play by way of an interactive lesson featuring Chiefs cheerleaders, Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt, the “Voice of the Chiefs,” Mitch Holthus, and crowd favorite K.
