Cameron Erving has officially signed a two-year extension with the Kansas City Chiefs that will keep him with the franchise through the 2020 season.
The team announced the extension on Tuesday and Terez Paylor confirmed the terms of the deal as a two-year contract with $6.45 million in guarantees. He also says the contract can reach upwards of nearly $16 million depending on playing time and incentives.
Erving originally came to the Chiefs in a trade made last summer in one of Brett Veach’s first moves as general manager. He dealt a fifth round choice to the Browns in exchange for Erving, who was a low-risk, high-reward proposition at the time.
