Broncos fans have launched a GoFundMe to cut Paxton Lynch

Once upon a time, the Kansas City Chiefs had interest in drafting quarterback Paxton Lynch. And because of that interest, it’s believed the Denver Broncos traded up in front of Kansas City during the 2016 NFL Draft to go get him.

The Broncos selected Lynch with the 26th overall pick, and two picks later, then-Chiefs general manager John Dorsey traded out of the first round entirely, eventually selecting defensive lineman Chris Jones in the second round at pick 37.

Everyone knows what happened a year later—with no developmental quarterback, the Chiefs traded up in the 2017 NFL Draft to take Patrick Mahomes.
