Andy Reid provides update on OTA plan for Patrick Mahomes

The Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up the first three days of voluntary organized team activities Thursday, concluding with head coach Andy Reid taking the podium for the team’s weekly media availability. Reid spoke about the regimen of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who we know practiced on Tuesday.

“He’s been doing everything, so he’s been full go,” said Reid, discussing the QB’s turf toe recovery. “He’s still working with (vice president of sports medicine and performance) Rick (Burkholder) and the toe — and that.”

Chiefs general manager Brett Veach confirmed earlier this month that Mahomes would do “some stuff” during OTAs — but according to Reid, the nature of the game has allowed him to be in better shape than that.
