Alex Smith's streak without pick helped spark Chiefs' winning streak

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Since he threw an interception in a Sept. 28 game against the Green Bay Packers, every one of Alex Smith's passes has either gone to a Kansas City Chiefs teammate or went incomplete.

Smith now has gone 228 straight passes without an interception, the longest such streak in the NFL this season. He’s five passes away from the Chiefs’ record, set by Steve DeBerg in 1990.

“He’s great at that," coach Andy Reid said. “That’s one of his strengths. One thing he’s done throughout his career is take care of the football.
