10 Interesting Facts Heading into the 2017 NFL Draft

For the third time in franchise history, the Kansas City Chiefs hold the No. 27 overall pick in the first round of the NFL Draft.

The last time they held this particular spot was in 2003, when they selected running back Larry Johnson out of Penn State. The other was in 1998, when they picked former Auburn offensive tackle Victor Riley.

This year’s version of the draft begins with the first round on Thursday night, followed by rounds two and three Friday, and finally, rounds four through seven will take place Saturday.
