The Kansas City Chiefs had a great 2020 offseason as they were able to retain key players including Chris Jones, Bashaud Breeland and Sammy Watkins while also adding Kelechi Osemele, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, DeAndre Washington and several others. Brett Veach also secured Patrick Mahomes on the biggest contract in sports history. Chiefs Training Camp is now here and Andy Reid is tasked with gearing up the Chiefs for another Super Bowl run.
Chiefs Training Camp 2020 Winners & Losers focus on some early standouts and a few players who either need to step up or return from injuries quickly. Clyde Edwards-Helaire is drawing early praise from teammates and coaches as the 2020 1st round pick is getting a lot of work with the Chiefs first-team offense. Eric Bieniemy has raved about his work ethic and has talked about how coachable he is.

Kelechi Osemele and Jody Fortson are two other Chiefs training camp winners so far as Osemele has been working as the starting left guard. Fortson has stood out at camp as he’s made a couple of highlight-reel catches. Could he make the Chiefs 53-man roster in 2020?
Chiefs training camp losers focus primarily on injuries as Alex Brown suffered a torn ACL over the weekend. Brown became a core special teams player late in 2019 and his loss is a blow to that unit and the depth at the CB position. Byron Pringle has missed some time with a hamstring injury. This is an important training camp for Pringle as he’s hoping to prove to the Chiefs’ coaches that he’s ready for a bigger role. Matt Moore is also an early camp loser as he’s behind Chad Henne on the QB Depth Chart. Henne has been taking the 2nd-string reps.
