Clyde Edwards-Helaire has reportedly signed his rookie contract with Kansas City as Chiefs rookies reported to training camp on Monday. The other five rookie draft picks of Willie Gay Jr., Lucas Niang, L’Jarius Sneed, Michael Danna and Thakarius Keyes have verbally agreed to deals as well. Which Chiefs’ rookie will have the biggest impact in 2020? Chiefs News also includes the NFL canceling all preseason games as the NFLPA had been pushing for an extended training camp and “longer acclimation period” for players’ bodies. The Chiefs open the 2020 NFL Season against the Houston Texans on September 10th.
Patrick Mahomes is living the dream following his record-breaking 10-year contract extension worth up to half a billion dollars. However, his teammate Tyreek Hill suggest that Mahomes is actually underpaid. He told TMZ “I thought he was worth even more.” He applauded the Chiefs and Mahomes for getting the deal done and for Kansas City being able to bring back virtually its entire core for the upcoming season.
