Mahomes spoke about a variety of topics including racial injustice and how he plans to use his voice and platform to help make change. Mahomes was also part of the video with several other NFL superstars, including Tyrann Mathieu, last week sending the league a message about the fight for equality. Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid stands behind Mahomes & his players and says that Black Lives Matter.
Chiefs Rumors are also buzzing today as Doug Gottlieb of Fox Sports believes that Kansas City would be a good fit for Colin Kaepernick. NFL Rumors of a potential Kaepernick return to the NFL are circulating and Gottlieb believes that Kap’s skill set would be a good match with Andy Reid and the Chiefs’ offense. Patrick Mahomes has established himself as the best QB in the NFL, but he doesn’t do it alone. Bleacher Report ranked Mahomes' supporting cast as the best in the league. The Chiefs have an excellent offensive line and several elite weapons including Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Sammy Watkins. Mecole Hardman, Damien Williams, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and DeMarcus Robinson are quality skill players as well.
Frank Clark is entering his 2nd season with the Chiefs and it’s expected to be a big one. Clark battled injuries in 2019, but still had sacks and was a force in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl run. Clark’s salary cap increases over the next 4 seasons, so better production is expected. Will he have 10+ sacks in 2020.
