Chris Jones rumors aren’t going away as Chiefs’ GM Brett Veach was asked about a potential Jones contract extension during his NFL Draft Press Conference. Jones was franchise tagged by Kansas City before NFL Free Agency began, but the Chiefs want to keep him “not just for next year, but for the future: according to Veach. Kansas City has until July 15th to sign Jones to a long-term extension, otherwise he’ll play under the tag in 2020.
