2016 NFL Draft: Chiefs Pick Chris Jones In 2nd Round - Scouting Report, Highlight Video And More

With the 6th pick in the second round and the No. 37 overall selection, the Kansas City Chiefs have selected DT Chris Jones from Mississippi State. The San Francsico 49ers traded this pick and two others to the Chiefs in exchange for Kansas City's first round selection last night.

Position: Defensive Tackle

Measurables: 6’6’’, 310 pounds, 5.03 40-yard dash, 26 bench press reps, 34 1/2 arm length

Scouting Report: In a class loaded with defensive line talent, Jones is getting a bit overlooked by many. He’s still raw and needs some development, but could be a truly disruptive force on the defensive line. The potential is there, but Jones has yet to capitalize on it. A pre-draft process riser, don’t be surprised if someone take Jones earlier than expected.
