Veteran Wisniewski named Jaguars starting center

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced that Stefen Wisniewski will start at center this season.

The team signed Wisniewski during free agency after the veteran played his first four seasons with the Oakland Raiders.

The veteran was a second round pick by the Raiders in 2011. He played college football at Penn State.

Wisniewski beat out second-year lineman Luke Bowanko for the starting job. Bowanko started 14 of 16 games during his rookie season.

Wisniewski has started all 61 games that he has appeared in during his NFL career.
