Since becoming the general manager for the Jacksonville Jaguars, James Gladstone has shown that he isn't afraid to make moves to take care of immediate needs and address the larger scale roster. That's why nobody batted an eye when the Jags acquired wide receiver Jakobi Meyers from the Las Vegas Raiders just before the NFL trade deadline.
The move makes sense since the Jags have struggled with drops throughout the offseason, and Meyers is one of the most sure-handed receivers in the NFL. Couple that with the fact that their depth at the position was stretching thin, and the trade was a no-brainer.
